P0113: Intake-air temperature sensor circuit high
The ECU sees an intake-air temperature signal that is higher voltage than expected, often interpreted as an unrealistically cold reading.
Common symptoms
- •Engine warning light
- •Poor cold running
- •Rich mixture
- •Reduced economy
Likely causes
- •Disconnected IAT sensor
- •Open circuit in the signal wire
- •Sensor contamination or failure
- •MAF/IAT combined sensor fault
First checks
- •Compare intake-air temperature to ambient before starting
- •Inspect the MAF/IAT connector and wiring
- •Check for a plausible signal while moving the harness
Important
Do not replace the sensor until the live temperature value and connector condition have been checked.
A fault code identifies a detected condition, not a failed part. Confirm manufacturer-specific subcodes and live data.
