P2135: Throttle position sensor correlation

The redundant throttle-position signals disagree beyond the permitted tolerance.

Common symptoms

  • Reduced-power mode
  • Poor or no throttle response
  • Unstable idle
  • Engine warning light

Likely causes

  • Throttle-body sensor failure
  • Connector contamination
  • Harness fault
  • Low system voltage

First checks

  • Graph both throttle-position signals
  • Inspect connector pins and wiring
  • Check battery voltage and throttle adaptation

Important

Unpredictable throttle response is a safety concern; avoid driving until the fault is understood.

A fault code identifies a detected condition, not a failed part. Confirm manufacturer-specific subcodes and live data.
